ICMC 2019

Date

Over a year has passed since the memorable fifth International Choice Modelling Conference (ICMC), organised in Cape Town by Mark Zuidgeest and Hazvinei Moyo. If you couldn't make it to Cape Town or just want to refresh your memories, have a look at our ICMC 2017 report

We are now looking forward to ICMC 2019, which will be held in Kobe, Japan, from 19-21 August 2019. The conference will be chaired by Toshiyuki Yamamoto (Nagoya University), Junyi Zhang (Hiroshima University) and Nobuhiro Sanko (Kobe University).

We are excited to bring ICMC to Asia for the first time, and the 2019 conference will also mark the 10th Anniversary of ICMC. We have secured the participation of three exciting keynote speakers in Takanori Ida (Kyoto University), Harmen Oppewal (Monash University) and Joan Walker (UC Berkeley).

ICMC has always encouraged interdisciplinary research. In addition to our regular submission stream (deadline 31 January 2019), we are also inviting colleagues to submit special session proposals (deadline 30 August 2018) looking at specific dimensions of choice behaviour, modelling and data collection, across fields. The organiser of a special session can make use of this opportunity to propose a special issue in an internationally well-recognised journal (including Journal of Choice Modelling) that deals with choice behaviour.

Full details are in our ICMC 2019 call for papers

We look forward to seeing you in Japan in 2019.

Best wishes

Stephane Hess, Chair of the ICMC steering committee
Toshiyuki Yamamoto, Junyi Zhang and Nobuhiro Sanko, local organisers
