Jingyuan Di

Jingyuan is a member of the Choice Modelling and Economics and Appraisal research groups. He is working with Thijs Dekker and colleagues from SRI on the H2020 project DRYVER and will contribute to the teaching and redesign of the Environmental Economics module taught in LUBS.

He received his PhD in Economics from Durham University Business School where he also was postdoctoral research associate on the GEMS (Geothermal Energy from Mines and Solar Geothermal Heat) project. Part of the work was focused on studying the willingness to pay for geothermal district heating in the northeast of England.

His research interests lie in the relationship between environment, health and socio-economic factors, and he uses choice experiments to elicit the willingness to pay for non-market goods such as renewable energy. Jingyuan is an associate fellowship of the HEA.
