Fangqing Song

Fangqing Song is a Research Fellow at the Institute for Transport Studies (ITS), working on the project ‘TOwards Zero-Carbon Aviation’ (TOZCA). Her current research interests lie in modelling air passenger behaviour in the context of net-zero aviation with consideration of 'softer factors' including changes in people's attitudes and perceptions, social norms, etc., and capturing the underlying heterogeneity in the behaviour of travellers in different parts of the world. Fangqing completed her PhD at the same institute in 2019 with the thesis entitled ’Understanding mode choice behaviour when new modes come into play’. Before rejoining ITS in late 2021, she worked at University College London as a research fellow on travel behaviour modelling related to future mobility services (e.g. MaaScarsharingdrone deliverygreen aircraft).
