Lorenzo is a Chilean PhD student at the Institute for Transport Studies, University of Leeds, supervised by Professor Stephane Hess and Dr. Thomas Hancock. He has a transportation engineering background, with research and consulting experience. Lorenzo received his BSc. and MSc. from Universidad de Concepción (Chile) and his previous research analysed the effects of psychosocial variables on transportation mode choice. His current PhD research contributes to the SYNERGY Project, aiming to bring together theories from choice modelling, mathematical psychology and machine learning to develop next generation data driven behavioural models.
